  • 1 Microwave oven
  • 1 Jar 1-liter with thin seal
  • 1 Immersion blender

How to make asparagus cream in a jar

  • Peel and wash the potatoes, cut them into cubes, and distribute them in the jar. Wash the asparagus, cut them into even pieces, and add them to the potatoes. Slice the leek, wash it, and add it to the rest of the vegetables. Add the bouillon cube, oil, and pour the water over.

  • Clean the rim of the jar, close and clamp. Place the jar in the microwave and start cooking for 12 minutes at your tested power (I use 600 watts). At the end of cooking, let the closed jar rest for at least* 30 minutes. This will complete the cooking of the asparagus cream, and a vacuum will form in the jar.

  • To open the vacuum-sealed jar and enjoy the asparagus cream in jar cooking, simply remove the clamps, place the jar in the microwave, and start at your power for about 6 minutes (opening times for the 1-liter jar), or until the vegetables are hot and the steam gently opens the jar. Insert the immersion blender into the jar and reduce everything to cream. Serve your asparagus cream and bon appétit!

Tips for jar-cooked vegetable cream

The asparagus cream in vacuum jar cooking can be stored vacuum-sealed for 15 days. If you prefer, you can divide the ingredients into 2 500 ml jars, also adjusting the cooking times.

*The 30-minute rest time is recommended, but if you can, wait even 2 hours. The vegetables will slowly cook at a low temperature, and the asparagus cream will become creamier and tastier.
