Wash and score the chestnuts well. Distribute them in a bowl and cover with fresh water, letting them soak for at least 30 minutes. After the resting time, drain them and place them in the jar. Add the salt and water.
Clean the rim of the jar, close and latch. Set the microwave to your power (I use 600 watts) for 9 minutes*. Insert the jar and start cooking. At the end, let the jar rest closed for at least 20 minutes.
