How to make chicken in jar cooking?

  • Wash the cherry tomatoes and cut them into large pieces. Peel the garlic clove and cut it in half. Wash the rosemary sprig and divide it into 2. Distribute everything in the 2 jars.

  • Cut the chicken breast into not-too-small pieces and distribute them in the jars where you placed the cherry tomatoes. Season with oregano, salt, and oil. Add the olives.

  • Clean the rim of a jar, close it, and clip it. Shake the jar well, to mix the chicken with the seasoning and place it in the microwave. Set it to your tested power (mine is 600 watts) for 5 minutes and start cooking. When it’s done, remove the jar from the microwave and let it rest closed for at least 20 minutes. During this time, the chicken pizzaiola in jar cooking will finish cooking and vacuum will form in the jar.

  • Meanwhile, cook the other jar of chicken. Once at room temperature, you can store the jars in the refrigerator, in the coldest area*, where they will keep for 15 days. To remove the vacuum from the jars, simply unclip, place one jar at a time in the microwave, and start for 3 minutes, first with the defrost function and then at your own power. The steam that will form inside the jar will allow for easy opening.
