Fava beans and peas in jar cooking, a side dish that cooks in a jar in the microwave in a few minutes and keeps for 15 days, thanks to vacuum sealing. Like the fresh fava beans in jar cooking and the vignarola in jar cooking, this side dish can also be used to dress a main course. The recipe is very easy to make and you don’t need to sauté anything; you just need to put everything in the jar and proceed with cooking.
Don’t miss the opportunity to cook with energy efficiency, reducing food waste, and organizing long-term meals.
It’s always handy to have a jar of fava beans and peas in jar cooking, don’t you agree with me?

Ingredients
- 4.23 oz fava beans (Shelled)
- 3.88 oz frozen peas (Or fresh)
- Half fresh spring onion
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 pinch salt
Tools for Cooking in Jar in Microwave
- 1 Microwave
- 1 Jar 17 oz with thin seal
Procedure
Distribute the fava beans and peas in the jar. Wash and slice the spring onion and put it in the jar, along with the salt and oil. Mix the ingredients and then clean the edge of the jar, close and latch.
Place the jar in the microwave and start cooking for 6 minutes at tested power, I use 600 watts. At the end of cooking, leave the jar closed for at least 20 minutes, better if until consumption. During the resting period, the recipe finishes cooking, and vacuum sealing forms in the jar, which allows keeping fava beans and peas in jar cooking for 15 days.
When you want to enjoy the recipe, simply take the jar from the fridge, remove the clamps, and put it in the microwave. Start with the defrost function for 2-3 minutes to acclimate the glass. Then, restart at your power for 2-3 minutes to heat and easily remove the vacuum seal.
