Lemon chicken rolls in jar cooking, are a fresh, light, and quick second course. While the chicken rolls with zucchini in jar cooking include a vegetable-based filling, these chicken rolls in a jar will have lemon as the main ingredient and a bit of my breadcrumb flavored with thyme, rosemary, and lemon zest that go very well with the lemon rolls seasoning. Unlike the chicken rolls with potatoes and peas in jar cooking, with this recipe, you can get creative with a seasonal side dish to accompany. Like all jar cooking recipes, these chicken rolls in a jar will cook in a few minutes in the microwave and can be stored for 15 days in the refrigerator and under vacuum.

What You Need to Cook in a Jar in the Microwave
You can buy jars suitable for jar cooking in the microwave, already equipped with 4 clasps, on the site Decorazioni dolci, with discount code WECK10.
- 1 Microwave oven
- 1 Jar from 500 ml with thin seal
- 1 Small bowl
- 1 Cutting board
Procedure
Pour the seasoned breadcrumbs into the small bowl, flavor it with thyme and some grated lemon zest. Mix everything and use it to fill the chicken breast slices.
Roll up the slices to form rolls.
Place the chicken rolls in the jar and focus on the seasoning. Add the lemon cut into slices, rosemary needles, wine, and oil. If you like, you can add a pinch of pepper and some salt if the breadcrumbs are not salty enough. Clean the rim of the jar, close, and clasp.
Place the jar in the microwave and cook for 5 minutes at your tested power, I use 600 watts. At the end of cooking, let the closed jar rest for at least 20 minutes and… here’s a secret for you, jar-cooked recipes reach their best flavor in the following days, so don’t rush and wait.
During the resting time, the lemon chicken rolls in jar cooking will continue to cook at low temperature and a vacuum will form in the jar allowing us to store them in the refrigerator for 15 days.
