As an alternative to pre-cooking in the microwave, you can sauté the meatballs in the instant pot. Pour a little oil into the pot, activate the sauté function at 392°F, add half of the meatballs and brown them on both sides for a couple of minutes. Remove them and cook the other half. Then, proceed with pre-cooking the tomato sauce in the instant pot. Finally, cook the meatballs with sauce in the pressure cooker.

Variations for meatballs in electric pressure cooker

For extra flavor, you can add 3.5 oz of crumbled sausage to the meatball mixture. With the same recipe, you can also make chicken meatballs in the instant pot.
