Ingredients
- 6 egg whites
- 2 Granny Smith apples
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 5/8 cup erythritol
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp inulin
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 lemon (zest)
- 1 pinch salt
What You Need to Cook Egg White and Apple Cake
- 1 Microwave Oven
- 1 Pan craftina
How to Prepare Microwave Egg White and Apple Cake
Pour the egg whites into a large bowl.
Add a pinch of salt and start beating the egg whites with an electric mixer.
When the egg whites start to whiten, add the erythritol, gradually, while continuing to beat.
Once all the erythritol is incorporated, also add the vegetable oil in a thin stream and continue beating.
Once the egg whites are light and frothy, add the grated lemon zest.
Sift the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and inulin over the mixture.
Work with a spatula, from bottom to top to prevent deflating it.
Wash, clean, and peel the two apples and cut them into thin slices.
Add them to the bowl with the batter and mix with a spatula to distribute them evenly.
Pour the apple and egg white cake batter into the greased and floured craftina.
Level the surface and sprinkle with a little raw cane sugar.
Cook in the microwave oven, using combined microwave + grill function at lower power for 14 minutes.
After this time, cover the cake surface with a sheet of parchment paper and continue cooking for another 3-4 minutes to avoid over-browning the surface.
As soon as the microwave egg white and apple cake is cooked, remove it from the oven and let it cool completely on a cooling rack.
