Rosella Errante’s Tips

As an alternative to 1-liter jars, you can use 4 half-liter jars with thick seals, cooking each for 6 minutes. A half-liter jar is enough to season 3 servings of pasta or, combined with béchamel sauce, 4 jars of lasagna with béchamel.

Variants for Microwave Jar Cooking Bolognese

The original Bolognese sauce recipe includes using milk. Place 640 ml of sauce in the 1-liter jar and mix in 60 ml of whole milk.

Alternatively, instead of just beef, you can use half minced pork or half minced diaphragm.

For a more digestible recipe, you can add, for each jar, a small bay leaf.

How to Store Bolognese for a Long Time?

Did you make the traditional Bolognese sauce and want to store it for a month? I’ve got the solution for you. Divide it into jars, respecting the quantities indicated in the recipe, close, clip, and boil in the microwave for 4 actual minutes in 1-liter jars and 2 minutes in half-liter jars.
