Microwave Lentil Balls a super easy and quick vegetarian recipe , the lentil balls take only 8 minutes to cook in the microwave! They are delicious and perfect both as an appetizer and a main course.

If you want to store them for longer, you can simply freeze them or prepare the Jar-cooked Lentil Balls which can be stored in the fridge for 15 days thanks to jar cooking.   • 5.6 oz gluten-free breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • salt

What You Need to Cook Lentil Balls

  • 1 Microwave Oven
  • 1 Microwave Tray

How to Prepare Microwave Lentil Balls

  • Choose whether to use dry lentils and cook them following my guide on how to cook legumes, or use canned cooked lentils.

    You can use either regular or red lentils to prepare Microwave Red Lentil Balls.

    Put the lentils in a blender and blend them to a smooth cream.

  • Transfer the lentil puree to a large bowl and add the egg.

  • Add the well-seasoned breadcrumbs and mix with a fork or spoon to combine.

  • Lightly oil your hands.

    Take portions of the lentil mixture and form balls the size of a walnut.

    Place the lentil balls on a crisp tray for the microwave.

    Continue until all the mixture is used.

    Spray some extra virgin olive oil over all the lentil balls.

    Place the crisp tray in the microwave with combined microwave plus grill function for 8 minutes, placing the tray on the microwave’s stand.

    At the end of cooking, serve your microwave-cooked lentil balls hot or at room temperature.
