Microwave omelette is a delicious main course, a perfect dinner saver for the whole family, a variation of my Ham and Cheese Omelette which, instead of being cooked in a pan, is entirely cooked in the microwave, and so I can add it to my collection of super quick and easy Microwave Recipes!
After preparing the Microwave Frittatas and the Microwave Frittata Roll, I couldn’t resist making the microwave omelette, which in my house is the go-to dinner when you don’t know what to cook because there’s always two eggs and some cheese or cold cuts in the fridge!

Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan
- salt
- Half teaspoon butter
- 2 oz cooked ham
- 1 oz provola cheese
What You Need to Cook the Microwave Omelette
- 1 Microwave Oven
- 1 Plate crisp
- 1 crisp plate handle
How to Prepare the Microwave Omelette
Crack the eggs into a bowl and add the grated Parmesan and salt.
Beat the eggs with a whisk or fork to combine the ingredients.
Place the butter in the crisp plate and melt it completely in the microwave, at maximum power, for 30 seconds.
Then, evenly grease the entire crisp plate.
Pour the egg mixture into the baking dish.
Cook the omelette in the microwave oven, using the combined function microwave+grill, at maximum power, for 4 minutes.
Once cooked, take it out and fill it.
Fill the omelette as desired, I used cooked ham and mild provola slices.
Fold the omelette in half, then cook it again, still using the combined function, for another minute and a half.
Serve the microwave omelette hot.
How to Store the Omelette
The microwave omelette is best when freshly made. I do not recommend storing it in the fridge or freezing it.
