How to Prepare Pasta, Potatoes, and Mussels in Jar Cooking
Put the peeled garlic, deprived of its central core, finely chopped in a bowl.
Add the dry chili pepper and extra virgin olive oil.
Saute the soffritto in the microwave at 800W for one minute.
Wash and peel the potatoes.
Cut them first into strips and then into small cubes.
Pour the soffritto into a liter jar with a thin gasket.
Add the cubed potatoes and shelled mussels.
Season with salt and pepper.
Pour the water into the jar.
Add the chopped parsley.
Clean the edges of the jar well, close with the lid and its gasket.
Seal the lid with the 4 clasps as explained in the Instructions for Cooking in a Jar in the Microwave.
Cook in the microwave at your tested power (mine is 600W) for 12 minutes.
At the end of cooking, remove the jar from the microwave and let it rest at room temperature for about 1 hour.
At this point, you can store the condiment for your pasta, potatoes, and mussels in the fridge for 15 days.
Otherwise, once completely cooled, gently pull the gasket and open the jar.
Open the jar.
Add the pasta to the jar.
Season to taste with salt, chopped parsley and also pour the water.
Close again with the lid and clean gasket.
Seal with the 4 clasps and move the jar to blend the ingredients.
Cook in the microwave for a minute and a half, at your tested power, from when the content starts boiling.
Remove the jar from the microwave, let the closed jar rest for 5 minutes and then pull the gasket.
Serve the pasta, potatoes, and mussels in jar cooking hot, accompanied by an additional drizzle of olive oil and chopped parsley.
