Phyllo Dough and Cream Cake in Air Fryer is another of my Air Fryer Recipes. A delicious and crispy dessert made with phyllo dough and custard.
For this recipe, I decided to use my infallible Custard in Jar Cooking, but you can also use the Sugar-Free Custard or the Orange Custard or prepare the Instant Pot Custard.
After trying the Phyllo Dough Bundles in Air Fryer and the Phyllo Dough Dessert in Microwave, I couldn’t resist trying this phyllo and cream cake in the air fryer, different in texture from the Ricotta and Orange Cake in Air Fryer, but even more delicious and indulgent!

How to Make the Rose Cake in Air Fryer
For this recipe, I decided to use the custard in jar cooking I had prepared in advance.
Pour the milk into the bowl and add the vanilla.
Place the bowl in the microwave and heat for three minutes at 750 W.
Put the egg yolks with sugar and flour in another bowl and mix with a whisk.
When the milk is hot, remove the vanilla pod and gradually add the milk to the egg mixture.
Pour the mixture into the jar, avoiding dirtying the edges and walls.
Close and latch. Place the jar in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 350 watts (half power), gently shake the jar and then continue cooking for another 3 minutes, still at half power, according to the power given by the water test. Let the jar rest closed for 15-20 minutes.
At the end of the resting time, gently pull the seal, insert the immersion blender and blend everything. You will obtain a velvety custard, ready to enjoy.
Take the sheets of phyllo dough and cut them in half.
Place two generous spoonfuls of cream in the center of each half of phyllo dough, then twist to create a “rose”.
Grease the bottom of a cake pan with the melted butter and place all the phyllo dough and cream roses inside.
Cover the surface of the roses with more melted butter.
Add the frozen blueberries on top of the cake.
Place the cake pan inside the air fryer basket and cook for 5 minutes at 374°F, then for another 3 minutes at 320°F.
Remove the rose and cream cake from the air fryer and serve it warm.
