Phyllo Dough Cake in Air Fryer

The phyllo dough cake in the air fryer is a savory cake made with phyllo dough sheets, pears, and cheese that cooks in minutes in the air fryer. Perfect to serve as a Christmas recipe, like these shrimp in crust in the air fryer, or like these phyllo dough bundles in the air fryer. If you love savory cakes without puff pastry with fruit and cheese, try this one, and you’ll be surprised. The recipe is very simple. First, you need to choose the pan to cook the savory cake in the air fryer; you can use a rectangular, square, or round pan, either non-stick or an aluminum pan. Then, just fold some phyllo dough sheets into the pan, insert slices of pears and slices of Taleggio or Brie between the folds, maybe enrich with walnut crumbs and, if desired, a touch of honey, and then cook the savory phyllo dough cake in the air fryer.

At the end of the recipe, you will also find the version of the phyllo dough and apple cake in the air fryer. I hope you find it useful, and I’m looking forward to hearing what you think.

Ingredients

  • 1 roll phyllo dough (10 sheets)
  • 1 Abate pear
  • 7 oz brie (or gorgonzola)
  • 2 pinches salt
  • 2 sprigs thyme
  • 1 oz walnuts
  • 1 tbsp acacia honey
  • extra virgin olive oil (for brushing the pan)

What You Need

  • 1 Air Fryer
  • 1 Nonstick Pan to fit the air fryer

Procedure

  • Brush the pan with a little oil, open the roll of phyllo dough and take a sheet. Fold it and place it in the pan, continue by placing all the phyllo dough sheets, leaving some folds on top.

Slice the brie and the pear into regular slices and insert them alternately between the folds of the phyllo dough. Season with thyme leaves and brush the surface with a little oil.

  • Insert the pan into the air fryer and start the first cooking for 12 minutes at 356°F. Then, raise the temperature to 392°F and continue cooking for about 3 minutes or until the savory cake has taken on a nice golden color.

    Meanwhile, chop the walnuts.

  • As soon as it is baked, drizzle the honey over the cake, decorate with the chopped walnuts, and serve.
