Polenta Flans in Air Fryer

Polenta Flans in Air Fryer is a delicious recipe that I am unsure whether to classify among Main Courses or Appetizers because it is a versatile recipe that can be served both ways.

Certainly, these polenta flans are part of my Air Fryer Recipes, they are easy to prepare and can also be frozen and then cooked in the air fryer just before serving them.

For this recipe, I prepared the polenta with kale in the bread machine, but you can use the Polenta with Kale in Jar.

Whether you have leftover Jar-cooked Polenta or Microwave Polenta or Instant Pot Polenta, this is certainly a great way to reuse it, besides Air Fryer Polenta and Air Fryer Polenta Balls.

How to Prepare Polenta Flans in Air Fryer

  • Wash the kale.

Remove the stems from the kale leaves, dry it, and chop it into small pieces.

Place the water and extra virgin olive oil in a pot and heat it on the stove.

When the water starts to boil, salt it and pour in the cornmeal gradually, stirring with a whisk to prevent lumps.

Add the chopped kale and cook for the time indicated on the polenta package.

You can also use instant polenta if you wish.

  • Put water, flour, kale, salt, and oil into the bread machine.

Set the bread machine to cooking only and cook for 30 minutes.

  • When the polenta is cooked, let it cool slightly, then place a tablespoon of polenta into 6 aluminum molds.

Gently press the polenta with the back of a spoon to create a space to put a cube of gorgonzola.

Cover with another spoonful of polenta.
