Ingredients for a jar of cherries

  • 4.59 oz cherries
  • 1 tbsp coconut sugar (or erythritol)

What you need

  • 1 Microwave
  • 1 Jar 500 ml with thin seal

Preparation

  • Wash the cherries well and dry them. Make sure they are intact. Place the cherries in the jar and sprinkle the sugar over them. Clean the rim of the jar well and close it with the lid, seal, and clips.

  • Set the microwave to reduced power, I use 440 watts out of 600 tested power, for 5 minutes, insert the jar, and start. At the end of the cooking, remove the jar from the microwave and let it rest closed for at least 20 minutes.

  • When the jar-cooked syrup cherries are at room temperature, you can store them in the refrigerator for 10 days under vacuum. When you want to serve them, pull the seal, stir, and serve.
