Roast beef in multi cooker

Roast beef in multi cooker is my new recipe to add to my collection of Italian Recipes with instant pot, a variant of my Meat roast in jar cooking that is very popular at home because I get a tender and easy-to-prepare second course in just a few minutes.

The roast beef cooked in the multi-function pot is also perfect to be served as one of the Holiday second courses, it’s delicious, it can be served with a simple salad or accompanied by Roasted potatoes in jar cooking or by Roasted potatoes with instant pot.

As I explain in my Guide to instant pot, this appliance is truly a lifesaver as well as a wallet saver! Recipes that require long cooking times are prepared and cooked in just a few minutes!

Ingredients

  • 1.76 lbs beef (for roast beef (nut, silverside))
  • 7 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 sprig rosemary
  • 1 tsp coarse salt
  • 1 clove garlic
  • sage

What you need to cook roast beef in instant pot

  • 1 Pot Multi cooker

How to prepare roast beef

  • Wash the rosemary and sage. Chop everything finely with a knife.

    Put the herbs in a bowl with the coarse salt. Mix to flavor.

    Pat the meat with a paper towel to remove the blood.

    Massage the meat for a few minutes with the herb and salt mixture to flavor it before cooking.

  • Pour the extra virgin olive oil together with the garlic clove into the multi cooker pot and preheat for a minute at 392°F with the oven function.

    When hot, remove the garlic, and place the piece of meat inside the pot. Brown the roast beef on all sides, turning it often.

    Then remove the meat from the pot and insert the roasting rack.

    Place the roast beef on the rack, close the multi-function pot with the oven lid.

    Program the pot and lid at 284°F with oven function for 25 minutes, then start cooking.

    At the end of cooking, remove the lid, take the roast beef and wrap it in a sheet of aluminum foil.

    Let the roast beef cooked in the multi cooker rest for at least 30 minutes before slicing and serving.

  • If you have the air fryer lid with your multi cooker pot, place the piece of meat, after browning, in the appropriate basket and proceed with cooking at 356°F, turning the piece of meat halfway through cooking.

How to store roast beef in multi cooker

Store roast beef in multi cooker in the fridge, whole or already sliced, for two days.
