The steamed potatoes in jar cooking in the microwave, which I propose to you today, cook in a few minutes and can be kept for a week. Thanks to the vacuum formed in the jar, we can store them in the fridge, ready to serve as a side dish. For this recipe, I used new potatoes that, of course, can be replaced with regular potatoes. Using new potatoes, you can leave the skin, full of fiber and flavor, it’s really a shame to waste it.
The cooking of potatoes in the jar is really simple and quick, perfect to be turned into parsley potatoes or to make a delicious summer potato salad.
These jar-cooked potatoes are oil-free, and in the jar, I only added a pinch of salt and a little water. Exactly the amount you see in the picture. I decided to photograph them like this, while they were still closed in the jar, to show you the final result.
I’m curious to know if this recipe will be useful to you, let me know on the Facebook page, on the Instagram profile or in the support group. I look forward to seeing photos of your recipes!

How to Make Boiled Potatoes in Jar Cooking
Wash and brush the potatoes well, cut the larger ones in half, and place them in the jar. Add the salt and the water, clean the rim of the jar, close it, and attach with 4 clips*.
Set the microwave to your tested power (I use 750 watts), place the jar inside, and start the cooking for 6 minutes. At the end, let the jar rest closed for at least 20 minutes. During the rest, the potatoes will finish cooking and a vacuum will form in the jar, allowing you to store them for 15 days in the fridge.
Once the jar is at room temperature, place it in the fridge.
Do you know how to open the jars? To heat and serve the steamed potatoes in jar cooking, simply remove the clips, place the jar in the microwave, and set it for 2 minutes on the defrost function (to acclimatize the glass) before proceeding at your tested power, for about 3 minutes.
