Stuffed Pasta in Jar Cooking

Stuffed Pasta in Jar Cooking or rather, stuffed paccheri cooked in a jar with the microwave jar cooking technique that allows us to prepare a delicious and fancy main course a week in advance, perfect to add to our Christmas Recipes for an easy and quick menu!

To prepare these Main Courses in Jar Cooking I used dry paccheri and my foolproof Stuffing for Pasta in Jar Cooking, which is perfect for stuffing both dry pasta, like paccheri and cannelloni, and homemade fresh pasta like ravioli and tortelli. For the seasoning, I used my Microwave Tomato Sauce and the Microwave Cooked Béchamel.

Ingredients

  • 3.5 oz sausage
  • 3.5 oz ground beef
  • 3.5 oz chicken breast
  • 0.7 oz mixed vegetables for sautéing
  • 0.7 oz butter
  • 1 tbsp red wine
  • salt
  • 1 tsp tomato paste
  • 5.3 oz paccheri
  • 0.6 cups béchamel
  • 0.6 cups tomato sauce
  • 1.8 oz grated parmesan cheese

  • 2 Jars with thin seal 500 ml

How to Prepare Stuffed Pasta in Jar Cooking in Microwave

  • In a bowl, pour the mixed vegetables for sautéing along with the butter.

    Brown at 1000 W for 3 minutes.

    Then add the red wine and let it evaporate for 6 minutes at 1000 W.

    Crumble the meat well, add salt to taste and tomato paste.

    Mix well with a spoon and pour the filling into a jar with a thick seal of 500 ml.

    Clean the edges and close by securing.

    Cook in the microwave, at your tested power (mine is 600 W) for 6 minutes.

    After cooking, let it rest for 24 hours, then open the jar, blend adding nutmeg, cinnamon, and an egg.

  • First, prepare the Tomato Sauce in Jar Cooking or the Microwave Tomato Sauce.

    Also prepare the Microwave Cooked Béchamel.

    Meanwhile, heat a pot of water, salt to taste, and then cook the paccheri for half of their cooking time.

    When they’re ready, drain them and stop the cooking under cold running water.

    Stuff the paccheri with the pasta filling and set aside.

    Take a jar with a thin seal of 500 ml, pour a bit of tomato sauce on the bottom, and then place your stuffed paccheri upright, tightly packed together.

    Cover with a tablespoon of béchamel.

  • Add some tomato sauce and a sprinkle of grated cheese on top.

    Clean the edges of the jar, close with the lid and seal, and secure with the clasps as per the microwave jar cooking technique.

    Cook in the microwave at your tested power (mine is 600 W) for 5 minutes.

    After cooking, let it rest for at least 20 minutes.

How to Store Stuffed Pasta in Jar Cooking

During the resting period, the recipe will complete its cooking, and a vacuum will form in the jar, which will allow you to store the stuffed pasta in jar cooking for up to a week in the refrigerator.

To serve the stuffed paccheri, heat the jar in the microwave for two or three minutes at tested power, pull the seal, remove the clasps, and serve hot.
