How to Prepare Sushi Rice in Jar Cooking
Rinse the rice well under cold running water, drain it, and distribute it in the two jars.
Add 4.7 oz of water in each jar.
Clean the edges of the jar, close with lid and gasket.
Latch each jar with the 4 hooks and shake the jar between your hands to mix rice and water.
Cook in the microwave for 3 minutes at your tested power and then for another 3 minutes at half your power.
Once cooked, let the jar rest for 20 minutes, and in the meantime cook the second one.
In a bowl, pour the rice vinegar and sugar.
Mix to combine the two ingredients and let dissolve for 2 minutes at 600 W in the microwave.
After 20 minutes of resting for each jar, pour the sushi rice into a bowl.
Combine the dressing you prepared earlier.
Mix and then pour onto a wide plate.
Let cool at room temperature, possibly covered with plastic wrap or a damp cloth.
