  • Remove the damaged outer leaves and cut the base of the head. First, divide the head in half, then into even slices. Rinse under running water and drain.

  • Place the washed and sliced cabbage in a dish suitable for the air fryer, then salt and spray with some oil.

  • Place a raised rack inside the air fryer. Put the dish with the cabbage on the rack. Close the fryer without waiting for it to preheat. Set the temperature to 300°F and the time to 7 minutes (for me it’s the heating program, which I reduce the time for). For more even cooking, flip the cabbage slices halfway through cooking.
Cook until the cabbage becomes crispy and golden, but not dry.

    TRADITIONAL OVEN COOKING
Cook at 350°F in a static oven for about 20 minutes, possibly covering with aluminum foil.

  • Which materials to use inside the air fryer?

Choose heat-resistant materials that allow good air circulation. Ideal are aluminum or stainless steel containers, which are durable and safe, or silicone baking molds, which prevent food from sticking. Ceramic containers, if suitable for high temperatures, are also a good option. While disposable aluminum containers or parchment paper are practical, they are not environmentally friendly.

  • What is the use of placing a silicone mat at the bottom of the air fryer?

The mat collects food and grease residues, preventing them from sticking to the bottom. Additionally, it helps distribute heat evenly, making it easier to remove food once cooked.
