Strawberry Ice Cubes

This recipe can also be made with any preferred fruit, even mixed.

  • 2 cups strawberries (well-ripened and flavorful)
  • Half tablespoon muscovado sugar (or preferred type)
  • to taste lemon juice (or orange juice)

Tools

  • Knife
  • Bowl and spoon
  • Mold for ice cubes
  • Freezer

Strawberry Ice Cubes

  • Prepare the strawberry fruit salad

    Quickly wash the strawberries, then cut them into even pieces, lightly sugar them (adjust the amount based on your taste and the flavor of the available fruit) and squeeze lemon juice over them. Mix everything.

    Blend or mash part of the strawberry pulp and its juice with a fork.

    Pour the mash into the ice cube trays, or for a more liquid result, only the juice. Place the filled ice cube tray in the freezer.

    Strawberry and lemon pair wonderfully, also try the lemon juice ice cubes.

Fruit juice ice cubes can be stored in the freezer for up to 12 months.
