FAQ (Questions and Answers)

  • How to make the fruit salad last?

To make the fruit salad last longer, store it in the refrigerator in an airtight container and add a bit of lemon juice to prevent fruit oxidation. Avoid overly ripe fruits and, if necessary, freeze portions in small containers for future consumption.

  • How long in advance can you make the fruit salad?

You can prepare the fruit salad a few hours before serving, but it’s best to make it just before consuming it to maintain the freshness of the fruits and their flavors.

  • What to use instead of lemon in the fruit salad?

If you want to avoid using lemon in the fruit salad or have run out of lemon juice, you can use other alternatives to prevent fruit oxidation and add a touch of freshness:

    – orange juice or other citrus (clementine, lime, mandarin, pomelo, grapefruit or bergamot)
    – coconut water is slightly sweet and can be used to add moisture and flavor to the fruit salad
    – apple cider vinegar gives a slightly acidic touch, you can dilute apple cider vinegar with a bit of water and spray it on the fruit salad
    – natural yogurt can be used to give a creamy note to the fruit salad, although it doesn’t prevent oxidation as well as citrus fruits.

Keep in mind that these alternatives might affect the flavor of the fruit salad.
