Do you need a side dish to accompany meat dishes? Then you have come to the right place. This braised cabbage is really ideal and very tasty as well as extremely easy to prepare. To be honest, I also find it excellent with cheeses. A light recipe that can be enjoyed without remorse even by those on a diet.

Ingredients for Braised Cabbage
- 1 cabbage (28-32 oz)
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 small yellow onion
- 100 ml dry white wine
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- extra virgin olive oil
- salt

Preparation of Braised Cabbage
Clean the cabbage by removing the wilted or damaged outer leaves. Detach all the other leaves and remove the tougher central ribs. Then wash, drain, and cut them into thin strips.
Peel the onion and garlic clove, chop them finely, and sauté them in a few tablespoons of oil in a saucepan.
Let them sizzle for a moment, then add the cabbage strips, a generous pinch of salt, and let them wilt for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Then drizzle with white wine and let it evaporate over medium heat.
At this point, add a couple of tablespoons of tomato paste and mix well.
Reduce the heat to low, cover, and continue cooking for about 35/40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Once cooked, adjust the salt, transfer the braised cabbage to the serving plate, and serve immediately, piping hot. Enjoy! Paola
