Crunchy, tasty, delicious… that’s what these Carasau chips are like. They are prepared in a few steps and in a matter of minutes and disappear just as quickly. Perfect for an appetizer or to replace breadsticks, but also ideal for decorating other dishes, giving them that crunchy touch that always goes well. I made them in two variations and watched them disappear as soon as I placed them on the table.

Ingredients for Carasau Chips
I haven’t specified the quantity of ingredients because it depends on how many Carasau chips you want to make. By reading the recipe, you will realize that everything can be measured “by eye.”
- Carasau bread
- rosemary
- paprika
- extra virgin olive oil
- salt

- Parchment paper
- Brush
- Sieve fine mesh
Preparation of Carasau Chips
Arrange the Carasau bread sheets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper without overlapping them and brush them with some oil.
Then salt them and sprinkle with some chopped rosemary needles.
Transfer the baking sheet to a preheated static oven at 356°F and bake for six minutes.
Remove from the oven and break the bread into pieces with your hands, forming chips of the desired size.
Again, arrange the Carasau bread sheets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brush them with oil and salt them.
Then sprinkle them with paprika sifted through a small fine mesh sieve. This way the spice will be evenly distributed on the bread. You can use sweet or smoked paprika according to your personal taste.
Always bake at 356°F for six minutes and break them into pieces once out of the oven. Enjoy! Paola
