Ingredients for Cheesy Chicken Breasts
- 1.32 lbs chicken breast (thinly sliced)
- 1.76 oz salted butter
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1 tsp curry
- 3.4 oz dry white wine
- 3.5 oz fontina (or gouda, mild provolone)
- salt
- black pepper
Tools
- 1 Plate
- 1 Pan large with lid
Preparation of Cheesy Chicken Breasts
In a plate, mix the flour with the curry (you can adjust the amount of this spice according to your personal taste).
Then coat the chicken breast slices, shaking them slightly to remove any excess flour.
Cut the cheese into thin slices: I used a potato peeler, but a slicer works just as well.
In a large pan, melt the butter before adding the floured chicken slices.
Brown them on both sides over high heat, then pour in the white wine and let it evaporate.
Once the wine has evaporated, lower the heat and continue cooking for a few more minutes, turning the slices occasionally.
When cooking is almost finished, season the chicken with salt and pepper and place the cheese slices on top.
Cover with a lid and cook over very low heat just until the cheese melts.
Finally, turn off the heat and serve the cheesy chicken breasts immediately, piping hot. Enjoy! Paola
