Chicken Strips Pizzaiola Style

However, we still need to eat, and we Italians are people who do not eat just out of necessity. No! We want to savor every dish. Ingredients for Chicken Strips Pizzaiola Style

  • 1.3 lbs chicken breast (sliced)
  • flour
  • 6 oz tomato pulp
  • 1 mozzarella (4.4 oz)
  • oregano
  • caper powder (optional)
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • salt

  • 1 Small Bowl
  • 1 Pan with lid
  • Grater large holes

Preparation of Chicken Strips Pizzaiola Style

  • Slightly flatten the chicken breast slices, cut them into strips, and coat them in flour, pressing with your hands to ensure it adheres well to the meat.

  • In a small bowl, mix the tomato pulp with a tablespoon of oil, a generous pinch of salt, and a large pinch of oregano. Set aside.

  • Heat a few tablespoons of oil in a large pan, then add the chicken strips and brown them on all sides over medium heat for 4/5 minutes.

  • Then add the tomato pulp and continue cooking over high heat for about 6 minutes, stirring often.

  • Meanwhile, shred the mozzarella with a grater with large holes, then spread it over the meat. Sprinkle everything with caper powder. Of course, if you don’t feel like making it, you can substitute it with a seasoning of your choice. You can also find a chicken seasoning recipe on the blog.

  • Put the lid on, lower the heat, and continue cooking for a couple of minutes, just enough time to melt the cheese.
