Preparing custard with the Thermomix is really super easy and very quick. You put all the ingredients in the bowl and in a few minutes, you get a fabulously velvety cream. It is perfect for filling cakes and pastries and, to be honest, delicious even on its own. Ingredients for the custard with the Thermomix
If you use skim or semi-skim milk, it may be necessary to increase the cooking time, which should be assessed “visually”.
- 2 cups whole milk
- 4 egg yolks
- 8 tbsps all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
Tools
- 1 Thermomix
- 1 Bowl
- Plastic wrap
Preparation of the custard with the Thermomix
Place all ingredients in the bowl and cook for 7 minutes at 194°F and speed 4.
Then pour the cream into a bowl, cover it with plastic wrap in contact and let it cool. The wrap in contact will prevent that annoying skin from forming on the custard, which can no longer be removed.
