Would you ever think you could make a delicious drink with pineapple peel? When we eat this fruit, the first thing we do is remove the skin. And rightly so! But I assure you it is a real sacrilege to throw it away because it is rich in beneficial properties just like the pulp. It helps us fight intestinal parasites, inflammation, and even that annoying water retention responsible for cellulite. So, why throw it away if it’s good for you and can be used to make a very pleasant drink? Moreover, it’s a very easy drink to make, economical, and requires no special effort. So no more waste! Listen to me and try it!

Preparation of the Drink with Pineapple Peel
I made this drink with the peel of half a pineapple because that’s what I had available. If you have the peel of a whole fruit, you can use it all. Just increase the amount of water to a liter.
Wash the pineapple peel very well under running water. I recommend using a brush to make sure it’s thoroughly cleaned.
Then cut it into pieces and put it in a pot with the water
Put the lid on and bring to a boil; then let it boil for 15 minutes, still covered.
Turn off the heat and let it infuse for another 7/8 minutes.
Then strain everything and add the juice of a lime. If you don’t have lime, you can omit it, but I guarantee it fits perfectly.
Sweeten the drink to taste with honey. This drink with pineapple peel can be enjoyed both hot and cold, making it perfect for both winter and summer. Enjoy! Paola
You can also flavor your drink with pineapple peel with a few pieces of cinnamon. In this case, put it to boil in the water along with the peels, then strain everything and sweeten. Cinnamon also has numerous properties, and if you’re interested in discovering them, you can read HERE.
