Ginger and Turmeric Chicken

Are you tired of the usual slice of meat? Do you need a new, quick, and simple recipe for everyday cooking? Then try these ginger and turmeric chicken strips. They are a tasty dish that is easy to prepare and will give your chicken breast a boost. I assure you they’re worth trying!

Ingredients for Ginger and Turmeric Chicken

  • 1.3 lbs Chicken breast (thinly sliced)
  • 1 tbsp Herbes de Provence* (see note)
  • 1 onion (large)
  • 2 Fresh ginger
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • to taste Extra virgin olive oil
  • to taste Salt

Tools

  • 1 Grater
  • 1 Pan

Preparation of Ginger and Turmeric Chicken

  • Cut the chicken breast slices into strips (strips) not too thin and season them with the aromatic herbs (see note at the end of the article).

  • Peel the onion and chop it finely.
    Peel the ginger and grate it.

  • In a large pan, heat a few tablespoons of olive oil before adding the meat strips. Sauté them until they change color, then remove them from the pan and set them aside.

  • In the cooking base, add the chopped onion and ginger and cook them for a couple of minutes. Then add the turmeric powder and mix it well.

  • Finally, add the meat strips and continue cooking over medium-low heat until they are well browned. Stir them often.

  • At the end of cooking, adjust the salt. Serve the ginger and turmeric chicken strips hot. Enjoy! Paola

NOTE

*Herbes de Provence are a “blend” of dried herbs. They can vary but usually include thyme, sage, rosemary, savory, oregano, marjoram, and basil. They are excellent used with both vegetable dishes and meat and fish dishes. You can find them in all supermarkets now or in herbal stores.
