I didn’t even know if I should publish this post. Yes, because this honey pineapple cannot be considered a real recipe since it doesn’t require any special preparation. However, I suggest it as an idea to serve fruit at the end of a meal in a slightly different way. A nice bowl is perfect even for breakfast or a snack. However, if you add a scoop of ice cream or sorbet, it will become a great dessert.

Ingredients for Honey Pineapple

Of course, you can increase or decrease the quantities of the various ingredients even “by eye.” You’ll see that it’s very simple to assess how much honey or liquor you may need. The quantities I used are for two people.

  • 4 slices pineapple (fresh)
  • 2 tbsps honey
  • 1 tbsp Marsala (or rum)
  • pistachio crumbs

Tools

  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 Small bowl

Preparation of Honey Pineapple

  • Cut four slices of pineapple about 3/8 inch thick. Remove the skin and the hard central part and cut the flesh into cubes.

  • In a small bowl, mix the honey with the Marsala. If you prefer, you can substitute this liquor with rum.

  • Place the pineapple cubes in two single-serving bowls, dress them with flavored honey, and sprinkle everything with pistachio crumbs. I believe there’s nothing simpler and quicker than this honey pineapple, but I assure you it will be very much appreciated. Enjoy! Paola

FAQ

  • Can canned pineapple be used?

Yes, it can. In this case, however, purchase natural pineapple.
