I really enjoy preparing fruit-based drinks at home. I am teetotal, so no alcohol for me. The drink I’m sharing with you today is a truly delicious and super easy-to-make pomegranate drink. You can enjoy it at any time of the day and on any occasion. Perfect as an aperitif if you have guests who don’t drink wine. Kids will love it too because it’s sweet. A winter-flavored drink, rich in all the benefits of the fruit it contains.

- Seasonality: Winter
Ingredients for the pomegranate drink
- 3 cups water
- 10.5 oz pomegranate (weight net of waste)
- Half lemon
- 3 oranges
- 2.8 oz brown sugar
Tools
- 1 Small pot
- Strainer fine mesh
- Citrus juicer
- Immersion blender
- 1 Carafe
Preparation of the pomegranate drink
In a small pot, place the brown sugar with 1 cup of water taken from the total amount.
Heat it over low heat and dissolve, stirring occasionally; then turn off and let the syrup cool.
Meanwhile, deseed the pomegranate and get 10.5 oz of seeds (to perform this operation in the best way, follow the instructions you find HERE).
Place the pomegranate seeds in the glass of an immersion blender (or a blender) and blend them.
Then, with a fine mesh strainer, filter the obtained juice directly into a carafe.
At this point, add the now cold sugar syrup and the remaining 2 cups of water. I poured this water through the strainer that still contained the seed residues. This way, you can collect as much pomegranate juice as possible.
Finally, squeeze the half lemon and the oranges, pour their juice into the carafe as well, and mix well.
For maximum benefit, this drink should be consumed immediately. If you need to prepare it in advance, store it in the refrigerator. Enjoy! Paola
