Puffed Rice and Chocolate Dessert

in ,

This puffed rice and double chocolate dessert does not require baking. Yes, because this time we do not miss anything, and we add white chocolate to the simple dark chocolate. A good mix of all the ingredients and, in the end, everything is coarsely broken up. The game is done. A few moves to serve a nice dish of delicious bites that can be stored for several days in the fridge. Or rather, they should last because, at my house, they disappeared in a day.

Ingredients for the Puffed Rice Dessert

  • 3.5 oz dark chocolate
  • 3.5 oz white chocolate
  • 1.5 tbsp butter
  • 3.5 cups puffed rice (white or chocolate flavored)
  • 1 oz grated coconut

Tools

  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Baking Tray 12 x 8 inches

Preparation of the Puffed Rice Dessert

  • Cut the dark and white chocolate into pieces.

  • Place them in a bowl, add butter, and melt everything in a bain-marie or microwave.

  • Then add 1/3 oz of grated coconut and perfectly incorporate it into the chocolate mixture.

  • At this point, gradually add the puffed rice: I used chocolate-flavored puffed rice, but if you prefer, you can also use plain white puffed rice.

  • Once all the rice is incorporated, pour the mixture into a low-edged 12 x 8 inches baking tray lined with parchment paper and level it by compacting it well with a spatula or the back of a spoon.

  • Finally, sprinkle the remaining grated coconut over the entire surface.

  • Cover the tray with a sheet of foil and transfer it to the refrigerator for at least two hours.

  • Once cooled, remove the puffed rice and double chocolate dessert from the tray and cut it coarsely. Store it in the fridge. Enjoy! Paola
