Ingredients for 20 puffed rice and chocolate treats
In making these treats, I used chocolate puffed rice, but plain is also fine.
- 7 tbsp butter
- 4 Mars bars (6.3 oz)
- 2 tbsp Nutella® (a generous tablespoon)
- to taste puffed rice (4.5 to 5 oz)
Tools
- 1 Small pot for bain-marie
- 1 Bowl
- 2 Trays
- Parchment paper
Preparation of puffed rice and chocolate treats
Cut the four Mars bars into pieces and place them in a small pot for a bain-marie along with the butter. This type of pot is really very convenient. If you wish to purchase it, you can find it online by clicking HERE.
Heat over moderate flame and melt, stirring often.
Then transfer the melted mixture into a bowl.
At this point, start gradually adding the puffed rice: add it little by little, gently stirring until the chocolate mixture can absorb it (the quantity may vary between 4.5 and 5 oz).
Also add the tablespoon of Nutella and mix it perfectly.
Now, with the help of two spoons, make piles of the mixture and place them on a couple of trays lined with parchment paper.
Transfer the trays to the refrigerator for at least an hour, so that the treats can set.
When serving, place the puffed rice and chocolate treats on a serving plate and prepare to watch them disappear before your eyes. Enjoy! Paola
