Do you want a healthy and genuine breakfast? Then the whole wheat cookies I’m presenting today are just what you need. No guilt with every bite. The ingredients are perfect for starting the day lightly. First of all, whole wheat flour and bran for a full supply of fiber, minerals, and vitamins. Then honey instead of granulated sugar and (very little) oil instead of butter. But the most important thing is that they are delicious. A cup of milk or good coffee and a few cookies and breakfast is served. To be honest, I continued to eat them throughout the day. What can I do? I see them there in the cookie jar and can’t resist. Give them a go!

Ingredients for Whole Wheat Honey Cookies
With these quantities, I made 17 cookies weighing 25 g each.
- 1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup oat bran
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 egg (small – 50 g shelled)
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1 pinch salt
- brown sugar (for topping)
Tools
- 1 Small bowl
- 1 Bowl
- 1 Plate
- 1 Baking tray
Preparation of Whole Wheat Honey Cookies
In a small bowl, soak the raisins in hot water for at least 15 minutes.
In a medium-sized bowl, mix the flour with the oat bran, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
Then add the egg, the oil, and mix.
Dilute the honey in the water and pour this mixture into the bowl.
Mix, then add the well-drained and towel-dried raisins.
Knead with a spoon, then transfer the dough onto a lightly floured work surface. The dough will be quite soft, but if it is too soft, add a bit more flour.
Take 25 g of dough, shape a ball and roll it in brown sugar.
Proceed in the same way until all the dough is used up.
Place the whole wheat cookies on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Bake the whole wheat honey cookies in a preheated static oven at 356°F (180°C) for 15/20 minutes. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before enjoying them. Enjoy! Paola
