Have I ever told you that Granny Smith apples are among my favorites? Yes, indeed, with their particularly tart taste, but those who follow me know that I prefer bold flavors! I also love them because they have a crunchy and firm pulp and… because green is also my favorite color. All excellent reasons, I would say, to appreciate them.
To stay on the color theme, I used Granny Smith apples from Val Venosta to prepare this refreshing and flavorful green smoothie. And let’s be honest, it is perfect for this post-holiday binge period.

Ingredients
- 2 Granny Smith apples (Val Venosta Apple)
- 1.5 oz baby spinach
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1/2 cup plain natural yogurt
- 1 1/3 cup orange juice
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 slices Granny Smith apple (Val Venosta Apple)
- to taste chia seeds (optional)
- to taste mint leaves (optional)
Steps
To prepare the green smoothie with Granny Smith apples, wash the apples well, remove the core, cut them into pieces, and place them in the blender. Add the previously washed fresh baby spinach, honey, yogurt, orange juice, and lemon juice. Blend everything until you obtain a smooth smoothie.
Pour the green smoothie into two glasses, add a slice of Granny Smith apple on the rim of each as a garnish, and sprinkle the smoothie with chia seeds and mint leaves to taste.
