Turmeric granola, enriched with raisins and cocoa nibs, is a crunchy and delicious way to enhance yogurt or milk and start the day off right. Of course, you can also enjoy it as a snack or treat, not just for breakfast.
Making granola with lots of crunchy pieces is very easy; you just need to mix dry ingredients like oats, pumpkin seeds, almond flakes, and ground turmeric in this case, then add liquids made up of oil and honey, mix everything and bake. Once baked and cooled, break it into pieces and add dried fruits of your choice, such as raisins, but also dried apricots, freeze-dried strawberries, or raspberries and for the more indulgent, chocolate chips.
By making granola at home, you will have a genuine product without preservatives, and you can customize it to your taste.

- Seasonality: All seasons
Ingredients
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 2/3 cup sliced almonds
- 1/3 cup pumpkin seeds
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/3 cup corn oil
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 5 tablespoons raisins (alternatively dried apricots)
- 3 tablespoons cocoa nibs (or chocolate chips)
Steps
To make turmeric granola, preheat the oven to 340 degrees Fahrenheit (fan) and line a baking dish or tray with parchment paper.
In a bowl, mix the rolled oats with almond flakes, pumpkin seeds, ground turmeric, and ground cinnamon.
In a small pot, place corn oil, honey, and salt. Heat while stirring, just enough to dissolve the salt and honey, without bringing the mixture to a boil.
Then pour everything into the bowl with the oats and mix well to combine.
Spread the mixture in the dish or on the tray, forming a compact rectangle about 0.4 inches thick.
Bake at 340 degrees for 10 minutes, then stir the granola, reshape into a rectangle, and bake for another 10 minutes. Stir again, reshape into a rectangle, and bake for about another 10 minutes, until the granola is nicely golden.
Remove from the oven and let cool completely on the tray. Once cooled, you can break your turmeric granola into small crunchy pieces with your hands. Then add raisins and cocoa nibs (or the ingredients you have chosen to enrich your granola), mix, and transfer to an airtight container.
Enjoy your turmeric granola in yogurt or even in milk.
