- Cooking methods: No cooking
- Cuisine: Italian
- Seasonality: All seasons
Ingredients
- 3 oz blueberries
- 3 oz strawberries
- 1 tsp maple syrup
- 1/2 tbsp chia seeds
- 7 oz plain yogurt
- to taste plain yogurt
- to taste blueberries, strawberries, raspberries (for serving)
Steps
To prepare the smoothie, wash blueberries and strawberries and cut the latter into pieces. Put the fruit in the blender along with maple syrup, plain yogurt, and chia seeds. Blend until you get a smooth mixture.
Pour into a glass, garnish with a spoonful of plain yogurt and fruit as desired, and serve.
Tips
If you want a thicker smoothie, add a few ice cubes to the blender, or alternatively, let the smoothie sit in the fridge for 10 minutes before consuming. This will allow the chia seeds to release their gelatinous part, making it thicker.
If you prefer a more liquid consistency, add a bit of water or even milk as desired.
