Baked Donuts with Cream and Orange

Baked Donuts with Cream flavored with Orange. An amazing Scent and Authenticity, they have also won over the little ones at home.
Finally, the good Oranges have arrived directly from my father-in-law’s garden, while waiting for those from Ribera (my beloved land), and I immediately took the opportunity to create these cookies.

Simplicity and flavor are guaranteed, thanks to the cream added to the dough, these cookies are soft on the inside and slightly crunchy on the outside.

Ingredients for Baked Donuts with Cream and Orange,

  • 2 1/8 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 Orange (Grated zest)
  • 1/2 cup fresh liquid cream
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Steps for Baked Donuts with Cream and Orange.

  • In a bowl, place the sugar and the grated orange zest.
    Work these two ingredients, rub the sugar with the zest. The more you work them, the more intense the aroma will be.

    Add the egg and mix well.
    Add the cream and blend.
    Finally, add the flour sifted together with the spoonful of baking powder.

    Blend all the ingredients.

    The final dough should be soft, but workable. If necessary, add a little flour at a time until you reach the desired consistency.

    Take small pieces of dough, about 1.5 ounces each.
    Flatten them slightly with the palm of your hands.
    With your finger, make a hole in the center to form a donut shape.

    Place all the donuts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  • Bake in a preheated static oven at 355 degrees Fahrenheit in the middle of the oven for 20 minutes.
