Ingredients
- 2.75 cups all-purpose flour
- 0.25 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp butter
- 0.35 oz fresh yeast (Or 1 tsp of active dry yeast)
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp honey
- 0.63 cup warm milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 vanillin (Optional)
- 3.5 oz dark chocolate (Chopped or chips)
Steps
Dissolve the yeast in the warm milk (not hot, please).
Pour the flour into the bowl and the sugar, mix and gradually add the milk with the dissolved yeast.
Add the egg and the honey. Once the ingredients are incorporated, add the small pieces of butter, also add the salt and finally the chopped chocolate. The dough should be smooth and slightly sticky. (If you deem it necessary, add a little more flour).
Place the dough in a bowl covered with plastic wrap and let it rise for at least 4 hours.
After the 4 hours, take the dough and place it on a lightly floured work surface and divide it in two, create logs, roll them and shape into a large swirl.
Cover with the bowl and let rise for another two hours.
After 2 hours, as you can see from the photo, the volume will triple.

Bake at 350 degrees preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, I always recommend inserting a skewer in the center to see if it’s cooked
