A cute idea to create for these holidays. A simple yet tasty brioche bread enriched with chocolate chips that can be replaced with raisins, candied fruit, or whatever you prefer.
Really simple to make, if you decide to decorate it externally with icing, chocolate, sprinkles, etc., you’ll make a great impression. Come with me, let’s start baking right away.

Ingredients
- 2 3/4 cups All-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup Granulated sugar
- 2 tbsps Butter
- 1 tsp Fresh yeast (1 tsp of dry yeast)
- 1 Egg
- 1 tbsp Honey
- 2/3 cup Milk (at room temperature)
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 cup Dark chocolate (chips or shavings)
- 1 cup Powdered sugar
- 3 tbsps Water
- Sprinkles
- 1 3/4 oz Chocolate
Steps
Dissolve the yeast in warm milk (not hot, please).
Pour the flour into the bowl and the sugar, mix and add the milk with dissolved yeast little by little.
Add the egg and honey. Once the ingredients are incorporated, also add small pieces of butter, the salt, and finally the chopped chocolate. The dough should be smooth and slightly sticky (if necessary, add a little more flour).
Place the dough in a bowl covered with plastic wrap and let it rise for at least 4 hours.
After 4 hours, take the dough and place it in a tree-shaped mold and let it rise for another two hours.
Bake at 350°F in a preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, always do the toothpick test, if it comes out dry, the cake is ready.
The cake is ready. Let it cool completely.
Decide if you want to decorate it or simply dust it with powdered sugar.
To remove it from the paper mold, be very gentle so as not to break the brioche bread.
Let me tell you how I decorated it.
I dissolved the powdered sugar with a little water, I recommend adding the water little by little because it takes no time for the icing to go from thick to liquid.
I poured the icing over the tree and then placed chocolates on top.
I melted the chocolate and used a spoon to create diagonal lines and then placed sprinkles on top.
