Ingredients for Cabbage Rolls
- 5 Cabbage leaves
- 7 oz Tomato puree
- 2 pork sausages
- 7 oz mozzarella
Steps for Cabbage Rolls
In a pot with salted boiling water, blanch the cabbage leaves for 2 minutes; after 2 minutes, place the cabbage leaves on a clean cloth. Now let’s move on to the sausages: remove the casing and crumble the sausage in a pan with a little oil; let it quickly brown. Remove the sausage from the pan and set it aside.
In the pan where you cooked the sausage, add a clove of garlic and, after a few seconds, pour in the tomato puree, add a pinch of salt and let it cook. In the meantime, let’s prepare our rolls: take the cabbage leaves and cut them in the center to obtain two pieces from one leaf.
Place the sausage and the mozzarella cubes on top of the cabbage and roll it up.
Once all the rolls are made, place them in the pan with the tomato puree.
With a spoon, take some of the tomato puree and spread it over the rolls; also add the remaining mozzarella cubes.
Cook with the lid on for 15 minutes.
