Cinnamon Rolls: Delicious and Soft!
Delicious and soft cookies with an intense cinnamon flavor. The Cinnamon Rolls are very simple to make and are really delicious!
I used my oil-based shortcrust pastry, which makes them irresistibly soft, perfect for breakfast or a snack at any time. A real treat for the palate, especially in winter.
Making them is a piece of cake, but the aroma that is released is something magical!

Ingredients for the cinnamon rolls

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3 1/2 tbsp warm milk
  • 3 1/2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar (or granulated)
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon

Steps for the cinnamon rolls

  • Inside a bowl, pour the flour, sugar, and baking powder, and mix.
    Start pouring the milk, oil, and egg (assuming the egg was missing), and combine all the ingredients to form a dough.
    Roll out the dough with a rolling pin, forming a rectangle approximately 14 inches long and 10 inches high.
    Inside a small bowl, mix two tablespoons of brown sugar and spread it evenly over the rectangle.
    Roll it up, and when sealing, moisten slightly with water and press to seal the edge well.
    With a knife, start forming the rolls. Each roll should be approximately half an inch thick.

  • Place the obtained rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them slightly from each other.
    Bake at 355 degrees Fahrenheit in a preheated static oven for about 15 minutes.

    Once out of the oven, it is essential to let them cool completely on the tray. This way they will compact and maintain their shape and the right consistency before being moved or tasted.

Storage

The Cinnamon Rolls keep very well for 3-4 days at room temperature. The ideal is to store them in a tin box or an airtight container to preserve their softness.
