Clementine Cookies: A Special Citrusy Fragrance
Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside! Clementine cookies are simple and delicate treats with an unmistakable taste.
Clementines are a fruit I love very much, but I must admit, I usually don’t use them in desserts. And I was so wrong! Their citrusy scent makes these little cookies really special and unexpected.
Will you join me? Let’s start baking right away!

Ingredients For Clementine Cookies
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup clementine juice
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla (or vanillin)
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- to taste powdered sugar (For coating)
Steps For Clementine Cookies
In a bowl, beat the sugar with the eggs. Then, add in the oil and the clementine juice.
If the peel is edible, grate it and add it to the dough.
Add the teaspoon of vanilla (or vanillin), the flour, and the teaspoon of baking powder (previously sifted).Knead until you form a smooth dough.
Prepare the balls: take small pieces of dough and form the balls.Only after creating all of them, quickly roll them in powdered sugar. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
It’s important to roll the balls in powdered sugar only at the end, after they are all prepared. This way, the sugar won’t be absorbed immediately, and you’ll have a nicer effect!
Bake at 340°F in a preheated static oven for 25 minutes.
Once baked and cooled, the clementine cookies are ready to be enjoyed.
