Cookie Flowers

Cookie flowers are delicious treats, very easy to make and beautiful to present. I wanted to make these flowers more tempting by putting spreadable creams in the center, but you can also use jams or preserves. Come with me, let’s start baking right away.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 lemon (Grated zest)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil

Steps

  • In a bowl, mix the sugar with the lemon zest; the more you work these two ingredients with your hands, the more intense the aroma will be.
    Incorporate a pinch of salt, oil, and then the eggs.
    Start adding the baking powder and the flour sifted beforehand, a little at a time.
    Work the dough until you create a homogeneous dough; if necessary, add more flour.

    Take small pieces of dough and create small balls, then place them next to each other to create a flower.

    With the help of a cork stopper or a cylindrical object, create a hole in the center of the flower.

    Bake in a preheated static oven at 350°F for 15 -18 minutes (until golden brown).

  • Once baked, let them cool completely. With the help of a teaspoon, fill the center of the flower with the spread, preserve, or jam of your choice.
