Cookies for Every Taste

Today I propose some cookies for every taste, super soft treats that almost seem like mini cakes, born from the desire for something good but without the patience to use molds and cutters. The beauty of this recipe lies in its simplicity.

A soft shortcrust pastry is prepared, rolled directly on the baking sheet, and that’s it. The fun part is that you can decorate each square differently! Ingredients for Cookies for Every Taste

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (or granulated)
  • 2 eggs
  • 7 tbsp milk (Warm)
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • nuts
  • chocolate
  • sprinkles

Steps for Cookies for Every Taste

  • Take a large bowl and pour in the flour, sugar, and baking powder.
    Add the warm milk, oil, and eggs, kneading all the ingredients until you get a soft dough (if necessary, add a bit more flour).

    Divide the dough in two and roll it directly onto parchment paper over two baking sheets, forming two rectangles about 10×8 inches using your hands or a rolling pin.
    Score the surface of the dough creating squares about 2 inches, but do not cut all the way through

  • Decorate each space with chocolate, sugar strands, or nuts, pressing each decoration well into the dough to make it stick.

    Bake at 356°F for about 23-25 minutes, if you decide to bake the two trays simultaneously, remember after the first 10 minutes to swap the position of the trays (the one on top to bottom and vice versa) to achieve even cooking.
    Remove from the oven when the cookies are nicely golden and let them cool before dividing them along the scored lines.
