They are incredibly easy to make and, thanks to the cream, they remain melt-in-your-mouth and super soft. The aroma of fresh lemon zest gives an intoxicating scent, while the dark chocolate chips add that indulgent touch that makes them irresistible.

Ingredients for cream cookies

  • 2 1/8 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 7 tbsp fresh liquid cream
  • 1 lemon (Zest grated)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Steps

  • In a bowl, work the sugar with the lemon zest. Remember that the more you work these two ingredients, the more intense the aroma will be.

    Then add the egg, followed by the cream, and finally the baking powder with the previously sifted flour. Work all the ingredients until you form a soft dough.

    If necessary, add more flour before the dough is formed, add two tablespoons of dark chocolate chips and mix well.

  • Take small pieces of dough, about 1 1/2 oz each. Make balls, then create a small log and shape it into a loop.

    Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

    Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit in a preheated static oven for 20 minutes in the center of the oven.

Storage of cream and chocolate cookies

Store them in an airtight tin box or in a glass or plastic container with a clip lock. This is the best way to protect them from moisture and keep them fresh.

If stored properly, they remain fresh and aromatic for about 7-10 days at room temperature.
