As a proud Sicilian, deeply connected to my roots, I couldn’t help but share with you the recipe for lemon granita. It is very easy to make; you only need good lemons for this recipe. In Sicily, granita is usually accompanied by a good brioche col tuppo.

Ingredients
- 4.23 cups water
- 1.27 cups lemon juice
- 1.5 cups granulated sugar
Steps
Dissolve the sugar in the water.
Using a citrus juicer, extract the juice from the lemons and add it to the sugar-water mixture.
Pour the liquid into a sturdy aluminum pan which will then be placed in the freezer.
Keep it in the freezer for approximately 4-5 hours
After this time, using a fork, start to scrape the ice block (it will be very easy).
Return to the freezer and repeat this process every 30 minutes for another two times.

Storage.
Store the granita in the freezer until needed. Then just scrape with a fork for a few minutes before serving.
