There’s nothing simpler and more satisfying than Lemon Salmon!
This is a very easy to prepare and super tasty second course. You just need a good salmon fillet, lemon juice, salt, and your favorite herbs. Despite the procedure being extremely simple, the final result is an incredibly soft, tasty, and flavorful salmon. It’s the ideal dish to accompany with creamy mashed potatoes or fresh vegetables.

Salmon is not only delicious but also a valuable ally for our health. Nutritionally, it is a tasty fish, rich in vitamins, Omega 3 fatty acids, and selenium. Its properties make it beneficial for heart health and the immune system, thanks to the presence of Omega 3.

Ingredients for Lemon Salmon

  • 14 oz salmon fillet
  • 1 lemon
  • to taste salt
  • parsley (or thyme)

Steps for Lemon Salmon

  • Take the fillet and check for any bones. If you want to remove them before cooking, you just need to use tweezers: feel where they are with your hands, grab the tip of the bone, and pull it out with a decisive motion.

    In a high-sided pan, add a drizzle of oil and a clove of garlic (if desired), and sauté for a few minutes.
    Place the salmon inside the pan: the skin side should be in contact with the pan. Cover with a lid and cook for 2 minutes.

    Meanwhile, prepare the lemon mixture: squeeze the lemon and pour the juice into a bowl, add parsley and enough salt, and mix well.
    Pour the mixture into the pan, directly over the salmon. Cover and cook for another 10 minutes on low heat.
    The lemon salmon is ready to be enjoyed!
