Milk Cookies

Milk cookies are the classic dip cookies, with a light but inviting taste. Crumbly and genuine, milk cookies are reminiscent of grandma’s classic sweets that are prepared in no time. Ideal for breakfast or a snack. I wanted to make these egg-free milk cookies, and the result is really excellent. With a few ingredients, you will make genuine cookies.

Let’s start getting messy…

  • Preparation time: 5 Minutes
  • Portions: 20 cookies
  • Cooking methods: Oven
  • Cuisine: Italian

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 5 1/2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil (Or extra virgin olive oil)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Steps

  • Pour the sugar with the oil into a bowl and work it with a fork, adding the milk gradually and a pinch of salt.

Start adding the flour gradually and the teaspoon of baking powder. Work it with your hands until you create a homogeneous dough.

  • Create balls or rings by making a ball and using your finger to make a hole in the center.

Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated static oven at 350°F for 20 minutes.

  • The cookies are ready to be enjoyed.
