A delicate milk cream that for me has the taste of childhood. My mom always made it and she still does, good as a spoon dessert or for filling pies or cakes. This milk cream contains only three ingredients and is prepared in no time. A delicious cream.

Ingredients
- 4.2 cups milk
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup cornstarch (or potato starch)
Steps
With these quantities, you can fill a pie or cake with a diameter of 9.5-10.5 inches
Pour the milk into a high-sided pot along with the sugar and place it on the stovetop over medium heat. Stir with a whisk, when the milk is hot, start adding the cornstarch sifted a little at a time.
Stir continuously to prevent lumps from forming. After two or three minutes, the cream should start to thicken.
The cream is ready, pour it into a bowl and cover it with plastic wrap in contact with the surface and let it cool completely.
I enriched the milk cream with dark chocolate chips. Be sure to add them only when the cream is cold.
